Information about this meeting
Innovation is so much more than generating ideas. It demands, among other things:
- A good and creative analysis of your problem area
- Improving or changing the present
- An action plan to successfully implement these activities.
- A large portion of creativity to transform all this into a successful outcome.
A lot of creativity efforts emphasize the importance of creative thinking tools to achieve innovation. The main focus here are the divergent tools to think “outside the box” and find new and preferably “wild” ideas.
However, two important elements have been ignored:
A: The individidual differences
B: The context in which one operates.
Understanding individual differences in problem-solving styles helps you understand why someone has a preference for expressing his or her creativity. It helps you understand the preferences for certain creative thinking tools.
In order to achieve real innovation, you need the wide range of problem-solving preferences. Creative profiling will enable you to put together your innovation team.
The organisational environment in which a potential innovation team will work is also extremely important. Is there enough oxygen available to be able to work innovatively? What are the elements of a creative organizational climate and what is the role of leadership in all this?
If you would like to know more about creative profiling both on a personal and organisational level, and how you can do this, please register for this seminar.
